Michael Brennan is a Co-Founder, Chairman, and Managing Principal of Brennan Investment Group. With a 33-year career dedicated to industrial real estate, Michael has orchestrated more than $14 billion in industrial real estate transactions and is a sought-after industry expert.
Michael served as the co-founder, CEO, and a director of First Industrial Realty Trust for 14 years before founding Brennan Investment Group. In the 10 years since then, his leadership has helped grow Brennan into the second-largest private industrial real estate owner in the U.S.—an entrepreneurially led and institutionally managed national presence supported by regional offices from coast to coast.
Outside of Brennan Investment Group, Michael directed the writing of The Guide to Classifying Industrial Property Types, the definitive resource on the industrial property sector. He has appeared on CNBC, CNNfn, and Bloomberg Television, and currently serves as Executive Director of the University of Wisconsin’s James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate, a program that is consistently ranked among the best real estate programs in the world.
Marty Alston is Managing Director of Capital Markets for Brennan Investment Group. He is responsible for institutional debt and equity capital solutions across the platform.
Marty has extensive capital-raising experience across a variety of strategies, structures, and platforms, including advisory, private equity, operator, fiduciary, and lending. He has been engaged in over $15 billion of aggregate capital raises over the past 20 years. Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Marty served as senior vice president, distribution at Threadmark, a global advisory firm raising capital for real estate, infrastructure, credit, and private equity mandates. He previously held a senior capital-raising position with Bentall Kennedy, was managing director and principal of Fifield Companies, and a partner with Capri Capital. Marty began his career at The Northern Trust Company, a global investment management and banking institution.
Marty received a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.
Ashley Baker is an Asset Manager at Brennan Investment Group. She brings over eight years of experience in commercial leasing, commercial marketing, and property management. Her responsibilities involve understanding and implementing the operating expenses and budgeting for each property, financial reporting, tenant lease requirements, and facility management.
Ashley has been working in commercial real estate since graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic media and film production.
Kevin Brennan is a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Brennan Investment Group. In this capacity, he directs all investment, operations, portfolio management, disposition, and development activity in the Midwest Region.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Kevin worked in the Capital Deployment Group at Prologis. While there, he was directly responsible for the evaluation and underwriting of industrial acquisition and development transactions throughout the Central Region of the United States. During the course of his career, Kevin has been involved in over $4 billion in industrial real estate transactions.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin. He is an active member of NAIOP and serves as a board member of the University of Wisconsin’s James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate.
Sarah Brennan is a Senior Associate at Brennan Investment Group. Her responsibilities include analyzing and negotiating new leases and renewals, collaborating with listing brokers to manage the leasing of vacant space, and identifying plans to maximize occupancy rates and rental revenues. Sarah is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the National Association of REALTORS®. She is also a member of IWIRE, NAIOP, and YNG Chicago.
Sarah graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational communication and a minor in finance.
Eric Clausen is Vice President of Asset Management for Brennan Investment Group. In this capacity, he is primarily responsible for management of the Group’s single tenant net lease portfolios, with locations throughout the United States.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Eric worked in joint venture asset management, acquisitions, and debt finance for Inland American Real Estate Trust, First Industrial Realty Trust, and Northwestern Investment Management. He has over 12 years’ experience as a portfolio investment manager in industrial and other major property types. Over this time, Eric has successfully managed multiple, mainly industrial, portfolios worth over $1 billion in combined value and has also been involved in $2.5 billion in new investments.
Eric earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University and his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Michigan State University.
Mary Crandall is Vice President of Asset Management at Brennan Investment Group. Her main responsibility is acting as the liaison between ownership and tenant. Her duties include development of strong tenant relations, collections, fulfillment of lease responsibilities, tenant lease negotiations, and renewal of tenant leases. Mary is responsible for day-to-day building operations, vendor contracts, tenant improvements, and budget creation and implementation.
Mary has over 32 years’ experience as property manager/asset manager in multi-housing, high-rise, industrial, and retail property management with industry leaders such as Aspen Square Management, American Invesco, Draper & Kramer, Equity Residential, Charles E. Smith, and MPR Management.
Allen Crosswell is a Managing Principal of Brennan Investment Group. He is responsible for industrial property transactions in Texas, with a focus on Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.
Allen is a leader in the Houston real estate brokerage and investment community. He believes in the value of long-term relationships and that fair business dealings lead to repeat business. By employing this philosophy, he has gained the confidence of landowners, investors, brokers, and retailers within the real estate community and has produced consistent year-in and year-out results for his clients and investors in both the land brokerage and development arenas.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Allen was a co-founder of TGB Crosswell. He has a significant track record of identifying and executing successful raw land investment and development opportunities. His ability to pinpoint the key issues in a deal and to work through those issues in a way that is agreeable and even beneficial to all parties involved is a recurring theme in the transactions he has completed. He was also co-founder of Crosswell Torian Commercial Properties, LLC, which specialized in commercial land brokerage.
Allen received his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Mississippi.
Tim Donohue is Senior Asset Manager at Brennan Investment Group. Tim comes to Brennan Investment Group from Entre Asset Management, where he was the director of asset management and brought a portfolio of approximately one million square feet of assets to grow their third-party managed portfolio.
Prior to joining Entre, Tim was managing broker at CTK Asset Services, where he handled property management, leasing, and marketing for a portfolio of retail, industrial, and office properties while also representing both industrial and retail businesses in their real estate endeavors.
Tim has been working in the commercial real estate industry since 1986. As a leasing director for the Shidler Group, he was part of the team that launched First Industrial Realty Trust in 1994. His career experience includes property management, leasing, asset and portfolio management, acquisitions, dispositions, and development. As an officer of a large publicly traded REIT, Tim directed the Midwest Region portfolio of assets that totaled over $400 million in value at its peak. In 2003, as one of two partners, he launched Gallagher Realty, a real estate investment and consulting company, where he syndicated and structured various investments in the acquisition and development of multiple industrial, retail, and office properties.
Throughout his career, Tim has managed a variety of property types, including a portfolio of 86 industrial properties with revenues of over $40 million, and participated in the execution of more than 10 million square feet of leases. He has directed the acquisition of over $200 million in real property assets and completed the sale of over $100 million of real property assets. He has worked in the development of over $100 million in new buildings, including the acquisition of over 200 acres of land.
Tim is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.
Jeff Dyrda is the Chief Financial Officer of Brennan Investment Group and is responsible for directing the overall financial, accounting, treasury, and risk management functions of the firm.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Jeff most recently served as chief accounting officer for real estate development and investment firm CA Ventures, where he directed the accounting and finance functions. He also served as vice president of finance and accounting for Hyatt Hotels, where he oversaw the accounting and financial reporting for Hyatt’s global real estate business unit during their initial public offering. Jeff has significant finance and accounting experience within the real estate industry, including senior positions at Starwood Retail Partners, Pritzker Realty Group, Tishman Speyer Properties, and Jones Lang LaSalle. He started his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
Sharon Fields is a Senior Property Manager at Brennan Investment Group. She oversees more than 50 industrial properties totaling 5 million square feet in the Indiana and Ohio regions.
Sharon brings a wealth of property management experience to Brennan, with past positions working at Colliers, Sentinel Real Estate Corporation, Prologis, and JLL. She has been involved in many types of commercial property management, having started in office/retail and then transitioning to industrial real estate upon joining Prologis and JLL.
Sharon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.
Rob Gage is a Senior Vice President at Brennan Investment Group and is responsible for the acquisition and development of industrial properties in North and South Carolina. Additionally, he oversees all operational activities within his region, including management and leasing.
Before joining Brennan Investment Group, Rob was vice president of development for AI. Neyer, a private developer of industrial, office, and medical office properties. In this role, Rob was responsible for the ground-up development of over $130 million of development projects in the Nashville, TN, area over the last several years. He has served as a senior vice president of leasing and sales for Proventure Commercial Real Estate, OakPoint Real Estate, and Cassidy Turley (now Cushman & Wakefield), where he advised numerous local and Fortune 500 clients as well as institutional investors in real estate strategy, leasing, acquisition, and disposition. Throughout his career, he has completed over $1 billion in sales, leasing, and development transactions.
Rob is a native of the Carolinas and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.

Scott Gibler is the Executive Director, Corporate Real Estate Solutions for Brennan Investment Group. He is based out of Denver but is responsible for national implementation of the CRES platform, calling on corporate America to creatively monetize and strategically structure operational efficiencies on an individual or portfolio basis.
Scott has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, particularly in capital deployment, and asset management. Before joining Brennan Investment Group, he was the chief investment officer for a Denver-based private investment group with $1.4 billion in AUM. Prior to that, he was managing director for Broe Real Estate Group, a privately held national real estate investment group, and for 15 years, was managing director with Amstar Group, a private family office. During his tenure over the past 20 years, he has acquired, developed, and/or operated over $2.3 billion of commercial and industrial real estate in the U.S. and international markets.

Tod Greenwood is a Managing Principal of Brennan Investment Group. He is responsible for industrial property transactions in Texas, with a focus on Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Tod was the co-founder and manager of Trident Equity Partners. Prior to forming Trident, he worked in the industrial division of the Trammell Crow Company, where he was an industrial leasing broker from 1993 to 1998, focusing on landlord representation. In 1999, Tod was asked to run the industrial development program for the Houston office of Trammell Crow Company. As vice president for industrial development, he developed a variety of product types, including cross-dock, dock-high rear load, and bulk distribution buildings.
Tod graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business degree and the University of Texas Graduate School of Business with a Master of Business Administration degree.
Tim Gudim is a Managing Principal of Brennan Investment Group. He is responsible for industrial property investments in the Western United States, with a primary focus on Southern California.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Tim was Managing Director-West Region at First Industrial, where he expanded the company’s investment and development objectives and opened new regional offices in the major West Coast markets. During his tenure at First Industrial, he acquired portfolios and opened regional offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Portland while also acquiring properties in San Francisco. Over the course of a 31-year career, Tim has orchestrated over $1 billion in commercial real estate transactions, in excess of 60 million square feet, spanning multiple Western regional markets, including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, Portland, and Phoenix.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
Bruce Jacobs is the Controller of Brennan Investment Group. Throughout his career, Bruce directed the financial and operational functions of numerous companies. His diversified experience spans both public and private companies. He has a successful track record as a member of senior executive teams of improving the financial performance of growing companies as well as those in more troubled situations.
Bruce specializes in real estate economics with areas of expertise including treasury and cash management, transaction structuring, property and asset management, problem analysis and resolution, due diligence, accounting and reporting, internal control policies and procedures, operational and process improvements, financial modeling and planning, operations/capital budgeting and forecasting. Bruce is recognized as a high-performance team builder able to improve operations, strengthen financial and IT functions while serving as a strategic partner with other members of the senior management team and board of directors.
Prior to joining Brennan Investment Group, Bruce served in various senior positions including VP – Mesirow Financial; Treasurer – Prime Group Realty Trust (public REIT); EVP/CFO – Rubloff Development Group; and CFO/Treasurer – Continental Offices Ltd. Further, he performed in various consulting capacities which included numerous due diligence engagements of Private Placements including Sponsor Report Reviews, Note Payable Programs, DST and Regulation D Offerings. Major clients include FactRight LLC, CB Richard Ellis, Merchandise Mart Properties, Vornado Realty Trust, Equity Office Properties, CBIZ Gibraltar Real Estate Services, Prime Group REIT, Realogic Analytics, Robert Half Management Resources, Mesirow Financial, Steven Douglas Associates, DiMucci Companies and Brennan Investment Group.
Bruce possesses broad real estate industry knowledge with virtually every property type including office, industrial, hotels, retail, homebuilding and residential/multi-family. He is an adept negotiator with strong entrepreneurial skills. Bruce’ sphere of knowledge and responsibilities have included risk management, mergers and acquisitions, financial services, investor relations, capital markets, contract negotiations and cost containment, business development and operations, lease economic analysis and negotiations, design/implement strategic initiatives and value creation.
Bruce earned his BSBA degree from Roosevelt University’s School of Business in 1974 where he majored in Accountancy earning honors. Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois. He has been an Illinois CPA Society member since 1982. Bruce began his career in Public Accounting at Schwartz, Frumm and Millman, LLP (merged with Blackman Kallick, now Plante Moran) where he attained the level of Manager. His tenure in Public Accounting spanned over five years where he gained expertise in auditing, taxation and the real estate industry.
