Tony Ayala

Tony Ayala is a Senior Development Associate on the National Development and Construction team. In this role, Tony manages industrial real estate development projects for BIG, overseeing all activities from conception through construction completion and stabilization. His responsibilities include managing overall design, planning, scope development, permitting, contract negotiations, budgeting, scheduling, coordination with contractors and subcontractors, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders throughout each project.

Tony brings 12 years of industry experience to Brennan. He joins us from Draper and Kramer, where he served as the Assistant Vice President of Development. At Draper and Kramer, Tony was responsible for securing entitlements and overseeing the design and construction process, zoning for multifamily buildings, and performing due diligence and financial underwriting for projects in Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL. Before Draper and Kramer, Tony was a Development Associate at The X Company, a multifamily developer based in Chicago. There, he managed multiple projects from beginning to end, overseeing designers, contractors, various accounting and draw processes, and ensuring projects were completed on time and on budget. Prior to The X Company, Tony was a structural engineer in Boston, MA, working on complex buildings and stadium improvements.

Tony holds a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He also holds a Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation.
